PLACENTIA AND SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA — It has been 104 years since the San Francisco earthquake and a great deal has changed in the way of building codes since then.
 
Because of the fires that burned out of control after the earthquake, it may come as no surprise that the face of San Francisco fire protection also began to change in the years following the earthquake.

Oakland Fire Protection Company Warns That Outdated Systems Could Mean Playing with Fire

FREMONT AND PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA— Oakland restaurant owners planning to open a new restaurant in the space where another previously existed may be playing with fire if they don’t upgrade obsolete or poorly functioning fire suppression systems, warns one Oakland fire protection company.

Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., which offers Oakland fire sprinkler system installation and service to restaurants and other businesses, recently geared up for what is anticipated to be a busy spring for the company, as new restaurants open that will necessitate fire sprinkler system installations and improvements before they can operate. Fremont Fire Protection Company Readies Itself for Busy Spring Season

FREMONT AND PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA— Nationwide Fire Protection Corp. is preparing for a busy spring as new restaurants open that will require fire system installations and improvements before they can operate.
 
Often, restaurant owners who occupy spaces previously occupied by another restaurant must contract with a fire protection services company to make improvements that will bring their fire protection systems up to current code, said Massoud Farazandeh, general manager of Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., an affiliate of American Professional Services (APS-Hoods).
 
NFP opened a fabrication facility in Placentia in 2009 to better meet the demand for fire protection work throughout California, including the increased demand for Fremont fire protection services. (more…)
