PLACENTIA AND LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA— Regular maintenance and inspections help promote fire safety in commercial kitchens, and one Los Angeles fire protection company says it’s just as important to do this for idle kitchens.

Even when not in use, equipment under a hood system can cause a fire or fuel a fire that started elsewhere, said Massoud Farazandeh, who serves as general manager of Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., a Los Angeles fire sprinkler systems company and affiliate of American Professional Services (APS-Hoods). San Francisco Fire Protection Company Discusses Environmental Impact of Automatic Sprinklers

PLACENTIA, LOS ANGELES AND SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA — Everyone is on the “going green” bandwagon, making the recent release of a study titled “Environmental Impact of Automatic Fire Sprinklers” timely.

Massoud Farazandeh, general manager of Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., a Placentia and San Francisco, fire protection company, said he hopes that this study will appeal to owners of older restaurants and commercial dining facilities who have been “grandfathered in” and lack adequate fire suppression systems and convince them that now is the time to make these important upgrades.

The March 2010 study was released by FM Global, a property insurance company that conducts property loss prevention research. It is the result of ongoing global efforts to reduce life cycle carbon emissions and improve sustainability, according to the report, which The Fire Sprinkler Initiative, a project of the National Fire Protection Association, recently posted on its website . Fremont Fire Protection Company Readies Itself for Busy Spring Season

FREMONT AND PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA— Nationwide Fire Protection Corp. is preparing for a busy spring as new restaurants open that will require fire system installations and improvements before they can operate.
 
Often, restaurant owners who occupy spaces previously occupied by another restaurant must contract with a fire protection services company to make improvements that will bring their fire protection systems up to current code, said Massoud Farazandeh, general manager of Nationwide Fire Protection Corp., an affiliate of American Professional Services (APS-Hoods).
 
NFP opened a fabrication facility in Placentia in 2009 to better meet the demand for fire protection work throughout California, including the increased demand for Fremont fire protection services. (more…)
